When I opened my eyes, I found myself in a strange room. It was empty with white walls and a cold floor that made my skin crawl.
I blinked multiple times as I tried to adjust to the light.
“You’re awake.” Patrick’s voice sounded through the quiet room.
Panic crept into my chest. “Oh my goodness, where are we?” I asked, my voice trembling. “Have we been kidnapped?”
Patrick nodded. “I think so.” His voice was too calm.
“Patrick! What are we going to do?” I yelled.
“Shshhh.” He replied immediately.
“What are we going to do?” I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
Patrick exhaled deeply. “Let’s just wait for them to come back. Let’s see what they want.” He replied, his voice soft. “Just stay calm.”
