I made sure to call my mom every day, just to check up on her health. Things were finally getting back to normal between us and I was sincerely grateful.
I always made sure to be careful and choose my words wisely whenever I spoke to her. I didn’t want to say the wrong thing that would make her upset.
For a while, our conversations had been filled with tension and I didn’t want to get back to that. I also asked her to talk to Madeline and convince her that I wasn’t responsible for anything.
