“Patrick, did you do it?” Valerie’s voice echoed through the quiet room as she walked through the door.
I sat upright on the bed. “What are you talking about?” I asked, my voice slightly groggy. Ever since I came back home, I have been sleeping.
She closed the door behind her and stared at me. “You can’t hide anything from me. We are in this together.” She said as she took a few steps closer to me. “Did you do it?”
