“Open the f*****g gate if you don’t want to lose your job.” I threatened, my voice low and menacing. “My friend’s life is in danger and if anything happens to her because of this stupid delay, I’ll make sure you rot in jail for her murder.”
The guard exchanged a hesitant glance with his partner. “I’m sorry, but we can’t disobey Mr. Banks direct ....”
“Shut up!” I snapped, cutting him off before he could complete his sentence. “I won’t repeat myself anymore. Open the gate.”
I felt my entire body trembling with frustration.
Letting out a defeated sigh, he turned around and opened the gate. I took one last glance at them and drove out immediately.
On my way to the hotel, I tried calling Celeste’s phone, but she didn’t answer. I tried a few more times.
