Lyra was sitting with Kimmie in the living room of the Laskaris compound. She had been back in LA for a week and while Alvar had ordered Isaac to give her space, he had been reportedly desperate to see her.
She had put him off a week but earlier this morning she had vomited like the woman in the Exorcist movie. Rage at him for convincing her they were the perfect couple who should start a family mere weeks after meeting had filled the void the vomit had left. In her head she knew it had been a mutual decision but while she’d lain on the cold tile floor of her bathroom willing the room to stop spinning and her stomach to stop lurching, her need to rip his testicles off had been forefront in her brain.
