“Hey, I’m gonna head out, okay?” Adriano says abruptly. “You need anything before I leave?” Adriano gets to his feet just as a ping comes in on his phone. He reads the text and smiles. It’s a telling little grin, one that gives him away immediately. “Well, well, well,” I mutter. He puts his phone away and looks at me with a carefully trained expression. “Stop that.” “Who’s the girl?” I ask. I laugh hard at that one. He’s like a kid getting caught with his hand in the cookie jar. Adriano sighs and rolls his eyes. “It’s not a big deal.” “If she’s texting you, it means you’ve given her your number,” I point out. “And you haven’t done thatin… two years?
