She stood up and walked away, and I let out a sigh. Was I doing too much? I couldn't just come up and accuse her. Not without proof.
My eyes followed her as she walked out onto the patio, pulling out her phone. I watched her for a moment, a nagging feeling in the pit of my stomach.
She made a call, and I listened in. "Come get me out of this island, please. I'm obviously not wanted here by anybody. Yeah, my things should be packed and ready in an hour. Just send the car." She was talking to someone about leaving, and I felt almost felt a pang of guilt.
