The next five months flew by in a blur, and Valerie and I were settling in well in this pack much to our dismay. The pay was good, the environment has been peaceful so far, and the patients have been cooperative and nice.
There weren't any deaths, and that was a good sign. And after Dominic's discharge from the hospital, he had thankfully fulfilled my wishes by not showing his face at the hospital for the past five months and, honestly, it's been the best five months of my life.
Anything that needed his attention at the hospital, he always sends Giovanni to represent him, and even though I hated seeing his face, the Alpha's brother was tolerable. He was the most acceptable version of Dominic.
