"Fine. Whatever."
We pulled up in front of my building, and I got out. "You coming?"
"No, I'm good."
"Alright. I'll be right back."
She nodded, and turned her attention to her phone.
I made my way up, and greeted the receptionist.
"Hello, Mr. King. We've been expecting you. You're just in time. Everything is ready for you.
"Thanks."
I went into the elevator, and waited for it to reach the floor of the meeting.
It took longer than usual, but when I arrived, everything was set and ready.
"Mr. King. Nice of you to join us. I was beginning to think you were having second thoughts."
"Not at all. Let's get started. We don't have all day. I had to sacrifice quality time with my family for this."
