He’d not realized that Drayton seeding their Dryad Druid tree would have an effect on Ryder in any way shape or form. He wasn’t sitting in his triune form, it was only Drayton needed for what he was doing. It was solely a Dryad thing to do.
Then to feel Ryder connect to him, and it did take some time to latch onto it on his end because Drayton was solely focused, and he didn't really want anything to get through. He didn’t like that when he was connected like this to his tree.
If Drayton had opted to walk into his tree to do this, then it was more than unlikely that she wouldn’t have gotten through at all, and he supposed it was why Drayton was out here and not inside his tree. To keep that connection with her in someway incase she needed help.
