Rachelle walked them quietly to the first floor, and they got to see four elite warriors standing outside two rooms down the hall; and yes, she could see that they were on guard duty just as Rachelle had stated they were. Those four warriors all turned their eyes to them as Rachelle stepped onto the hallway landing.
Ryder stopped her from turning away. “Rooms here will be fine,” she stated.
“All these rooms are taken by Alpha Nile and his pack members,” Rachelle answered. “I’ll put you all in the east wing.”
Her eyes never left those warriors, and she knew they were going to report their presence here inside this packhouse, to their own Alpha. It would be standard protocol, she imagined, but she was curious as to just how he was going to react to them being here, what he was now
