“Hey,” one of them said, catching my eye with an easy smile. “You must be the new med student. I’m Rina, this is Callie.”
“Kathleen,” I said, returning the smile with polite caution. “Nice to meet you.”
They sipped their drinks and exchanged a look before Rina leaned in just a little, her voice dropping into something low and mischievous.
“Tell me the Alpha wasn’t hot this morning,” she said to Marley, amusement practically dripping from every word.
Callie snickered behind her cup. “Seriously. He walked through here like some wolf-god ripped straight out of a fantasy novel. I was ready to drop to one knee and propose.”
