Had I been stunned by my little sister finding her mate in Darian?
Hell, yes.
Did I nearly lose my s**t when he growled at me like he was about to rip me apart in my own damn room? Also yes.
But once the dust settled, once Sammy whispered he’s my mate in that trembling, wonder-filled voice… all I could feel was relief. Pure, bone-deep relief.
Because I knew Darian. I knew exactly what kind of wolf he was. Fierce, loyal, brave to the point of recklessness. He was my mate’s twin brother, her other half in so many ways. If he was anything like Aurora—and he was—then he would love Sammy with the kind of devotion that would make even the Moon Goddess proud.
And my Sammy deserved nothing less.
