“Really? Where are your friends?” Vincenzo asked softly, glancing around at the crowd. His eyes scanned the sea of people until the group came closer, including Tanya, who froze when she saw Vincenzo. Her eyes flicked from him to Seraphina’s teary face and back again.
“Vincenzo… you’re here?” Vivian blurted out, shocked but excited.
“Yes,” Vincenzo replied smoothly, hiding the storm beneath his calm voice. “I had a business meeting here, and I thought… why not come and see her once?”
“Oooh!” everyone chorused at once, teasing them like school kids.
Vincenzo chuckled and raised his hands. “Haha, relax. Don’t worry. I’ll be leaving tomorrow afternoon. Just wanted to drop by.”
