Mika’s POV.
After my conversation with my mom, I know what I have to do. I will not run away. I need to face that ball of energy that is Lola. I will not allow myself to go back to who I was three years ago. I have worked too hard to just slip back into old habits. Mom was right. I can’t destroy what I have built because of a little woman with the energy of a toddler high on sugar.
There is a knock on my office door and I stand from the desk and stroll over and open it.
“Dante.” I say to my older brother and I walk back to the desk. He follows in and closes the door softly behind him as I look at the screen as I set up the fob for Lola’s access.
