My head is pounding away like I have drunk leprechauns performing Riverdance inside my skull.
What the f**k happened?
I open my eyes and see an empty bed opposite me and I turn my head to the left and see a window overlooking a parking lot.
“Hey roomie.” I turn to the right with a gasp and see Jax in the bed next to mine. His right shoulder is bandaged, and he is propped up.
“Oh my god, Jax. Are you ok? Do you need anything?” I say as I begin to remove the blanket from me.
“No, stop. Just lie down. You are hooked up to an IV. You fainted, baby, from low blood sugar, stress, and the adrenaline leaving you. I’m sorry, baby, this is all my fault.” Jax says, choking up and I shake my head.
