Dante’s POV.
I look at Celeste in pure awe. She did tell me a while ago that she is part Italian, but I wasn’t aware she could speak Italian. I smile at her and feel my chest puffed up with pride for the woman I love.
“Well, my dear. It is nice to meet you. Come here, child, let me look at you,” Nonno says as he holds his hand out to Celeste and she looks at me for reassurance and I nod my head once at her, and she steps closer.
Nonna looks at me and winks, and my dad’s are all grinning, as so is mom. In fact, everyone is happy about this new development.
“What is your Italian surname? Where did your padre’s family come from in Italy?” My nonno asks and we all wait to hear her response.
