Thea’s POV.
It has been two weeks since I bumped into Leon at City Hall. He hasn’t texted me or called. I would be lying if I said I didn’t feel a little disappointed. But he did say he started a new company a year ago, and this time is crucial.
I spoke to mom and told her I saw him. She didn’t sound surprised, and she wasn’t angry or threatening to hunt him down and kill him. She seemed interested in the interaction that we briefly had.
But unfortunately for me, Titus and Troy had overheard the conversation, and they blew up. Until their wives intervened and with the anger they directed at their husbands, they both ended up going into labour.
I do feel guilty, but in my defence, they shouldn’t have been eavesdropping on a private girl-talk conversation between me and mom.
