The meadow still smelled like wild grass and starlight when we finally rode back to the compound the next morning. Colossus hadn’t let go of my hand once. Even while riding, he kept reaching back to squeeze my thigh, like he needed the constant reminder that I had said yes. That I was going to be his wife. When we pulled through the gates, the entire club was waiting. Word had somehow spread overnight. Bikes were lined up, fairy lights (clearly stolen from somewhere) were strung across the main building, and someone had even dragged out an old wooden sign that read “Congratulations, Colossus & Lena” in crooked spray paint. Rogue grinned like an i***t. “Took you long enough, big man!” Jax whooped so loud half the compound echoed. Even Viper stood at the front with a rare, genuine smile
