Storage unit

The storage facility sat on the edge of the desert like a forgotten graveyard of secrets. Unit 47 was at the very end — rusted door, padlock thick with age. Colossus stood beside me, massive frame blocking the sun, one hand resting on the small of my back like he couldn’t stop touching me since last night. “You sure you want to do this today?” he asked quietly. His voice was rough from sleep and the things we’d done in his bed before dawn. “We can wait. Bring more backup.” I shook my head, key already in my hand. “No more waiting. Whatever’s in here… it’s the last piece. I need to see it.” He didn’t argue. Just kissed my temple once, slow and grounding, then nodded to Rogue and two other brothers waiting in the truck behind us. “Eyes open. Anything moves, we’re gone.” The lock clicked open with a sound that felt final. Inside was dust, dim light from a single bulb, and a single metal cabinet against the back wall. No furniture. No boxes. Just that cabinet and the faint smell of old paper and motor oil. Colossus stayed close as I opened it. More files. Stacks of photos. USB drives. And at the very back — a small black case and another envelope with my name on it. I opened the letter first. Lena, If you made it this far, you’re stronger than I ever was. The Reapers think I stole money. I didn’t. I stole their future. Names. Ledgers. Enough dirt to put half their leadership in prison or six feet under. The black case has the originals. The drives have copies. Use them. Burn them. Give them to the Titans. Just don’t let them use you like they tried to use me. Your mother doesn’t know about this unit. She thinks I disappeared. Maybe it’s better that way. Tell her I loved her once. Tell her I loved you more. Be free, little wrench. That’s all I ever wanted. — Dad My hands shook as I opened the black case. Inside were ledgers. Photos of Reaper deals with politicians, cops, even other MCs. Enough evidence to destroy the entire club if we wanted to. Colossus let out a low whistle. “Your old man didn’t just steal secrets. He stole their f*****g empire.” I closed the case slowly. “He was trying to protect me. All this time I thought he ran because he was scared… and he was building this for me.” Colossus turned me to face him. His massive hands framed my face, thumbs brushing my cheeks. “You don’t have to carry this alone. We take it back to the club. We decide together what to do with it.” I nodded, throat tight. “Together.” We loaded everything into the truck. Rogue didn’t ask questions — just gave me a respectful nod and said, “Your old man was a bastard. But he did right by you in the end.” Back at the compound, church was called again. This time I sat at the table without hesitation. Colossus stood behind me, hands on my shoulders. Viper spread the ledgers across the table. The room went silent as they realized what we had. “This isn’t just leverage,” Viper said finally. “This is a f*****g nuke. We could end the Reapers with this. Or we could use it to force a truce.” Rogue leaned back. “Or we burn it all and let them keep coming until they learn.” Colossus’s voice was calm but final. “We protect Lena first. Everything else is secondary. If they want war, we give them war. But we do it smart.” The vote was unanimous. We keep the evidence. We use it only if the Reapers force our hand. And Lena stays under full protection — no questions asked. After church, Colossus didn’t take me to his room right away. He took me to the garage again. The second the door closed, he had me in his arms. His mouth found mine — slow at first, then deeper, hungrier. His hands slid under my shirt, rough palms against my skin, lifting me onto the workbench like he couldn’t wait another second. “I’m proud of you,” he murmured against my neck, teeth grazing. “You walked into that unit like you owned it. You’re not scared anymore.” I arched into him, fingers in his hair. “I’m not. Because I have you.” He groaned, pulling back just enough to look at me. His gray eyes were dark, full of heat and something deeper. “Say it again.” “I have you,” I whispered. “And you have me. All of me.” This time it was slower. More intense. He stripped me carefully, worshipped every inch with his mouth and hands, then took me right there on the workbench — deep, steady, eyes locked on mine the whole time. “Mine,” he growled as he moved inside me. “My old lady. My everything.” “Yours,” I gasped, nails digging into his back. “Always yours.” We came together, clinging to each other, breathing like we’d run for miles. After, he held me for a long time, lips brushing my hair, voice soft. “Whatever we decide to do with that evidence… I’m with you. All the way.” I smiled against his chest. “I know.” Later, wrapped in his arms in his bed, I traced the scar on his collarbone while he traced lazy circles on my bare back. “The Reapers think they’re still hunting Ghost’s daughter,” I whispered. “They don’t know she’s already claimed by a titan.” Colossus chuckled low, the sound rumbling through his chest. “Damn right.” He rolled me under him again, eyes dark with promise. “And I’m not done claiming you yet.” I laughed softly, then moaned when his mouth found my neck. “Then don’t stop.” Outside, the compound was quiet. But I knew the war was coming. We had the evidence now. We had each other. And for the first time, I wasn’t running from my past. I was building a future. With the giant who loved me enough to burn the world down if it tried to take me.
