Alex's Pov
I broke the promise that I made to my parents. I promised them that I would take care of their son, but intentionally or unintentionally, I am the reason why he turned out this way. His jealousy of me made him the person that he is now, and it hurts.
"Please kill me!" Max yelled. I know that he got the punishment that he got because it's a lesson to anybody who thinks that they can dare define me and get away with it, but I grew up with him, and seeing him go through something like this is really painful.
"Please!"
Emilia was now full-blown sobbing, and as much as I was angry at Max for doing this to me, I didn't want her to ever go through something like this. l held her in my arms, comforting her while my heart was bleeding for a relationship that I never got to experience
