Freya was down in the smoke house hanging some of the meat from one of the pack’s recent kills. I probably could have waited until she was done, but I pulled Ash from the reinforcement job for a little bit so I could break the news to her. He understood completely and was happy to drop everything so I could talk to her.
Honestly, I was not interested in telling her this at all. Her mother has been there for her more than anyone else, Misty was probably more of her best friend than Jessi sometimes. She was a very good mother to Freya and a lot of that good mothering passed down to Freya with our children. I will always be grateful to Misty for that.
