I am nauseated. My throat is dry and I am so thirsty. I can hear myself moan in pain and sleep but don’t seem aware of it. I blink stirring awake. Panic sets in remembering Dane and the being tied to a bed and I bolt up releasing that I am not bound by anything. “That hurt.” A voice said lightly in some room I find myself in. I look at Dane, seated in a simple wicker chair. His bicep is bandaged and I know why. I had managed to shoot him, though not fatally. Damn. My eyes dart around a simply decorated room.
