Ryan's eyes bore into mine through the mirror. There was something in them that looked almost sincere. Almost trustworthy.
I hesitated.
Did he really know everything? The truth about Elena, about Damon's past, about the memories that had been erased?
But I couldn't let myself believe it. Ryan was dangerous. He appeared in unexpected places, always watching, always scheming. Holly had warned me about him. He had cornered me in the library. He had followed me for days.
