"You knew?" I stared at Giselle across the breakfast table, my coffee forgotten. "You knew Damon was sneaking into my room every night and you didn't tell me?"
Giselle at least had the grace to look guilty. "I thought you knew! Or that you'd figure it out eventually. Plus, he made me promise not to say anything."
"Giselle!"
"I know, I know!" She held up her hands defensively. "I'm sorry. Really. It was wrong of me to keep it from you. But in my defense, he was just watching you sleep. Making sure you were safe. It's very romantic in a slightly creepy way."

"Okay, fair." She grabbed my hand across the table. "But seriously, I'm sorry. I should have told you. Or at least warned you. Please forgive me?"
