I told the sales guy that I’d have a few men come and pick up the cars in about a week. He said it was just fine that he’d have the cars on the lot moved to the back with sold stickers on them.
I drove the car I just bought back to my mom's. I saw Mom was still out and parked on the street instead of the driveway, so it would be free for when she got home, if I was still here.
No one was home when I opened the door. I went straight to the second bedroom and grabbed my pack. I fished out a clean shirt and my last clean pair of jeans. If I wasn’t going out tonight, I’d be able to still wear the ones I had on, but they were dusty, and I wanted to look clean for my woman.
