Despite my prodding, Asher refused to give me any more hints about what promises he’d want to make me in the future. He did succeed in distracting me though, by resuming his massage.

Then I sat on the edge of his bed. He joined me, and wrapped an arm around my shoulders. Today was a long day, and tomorrow would be a long day too.
