Rion’s POV I felt the smirk tug at my lips before I could stop it. The king was still on the floor. Chasing his crown. The great hall felt like it had been frozen in time and was holding its breath, waiting to see what happened next. No one breathed. The silence was so thick you could have heard a pin drop…or in this case, a crown rolling across marble like it had a personal grudge against dignity. Shock painted every face.
