It was when we were in his bed, entwined in each other’s arms, that he said:
"Run away with me."
I lifted my head to meet his gaze, caught off guard.
"Like, now?"
Dimitri nodded, firm.
"Where to?"
"Anywhere. Everywhere. The seven wonders of the world. The best corners of every continent. I want to show you everything the world has to offer."
His request made the pit of my stomach stir as if fireworks were going off inside it.
"But what about the Mouth of Hell?" I bit my lower lip, hesitant.
Dimitri simply shrugged, unbothered, as if that question were the least of his concerns.
"Viktor will take care of the bar like he always has, and Niko will help him by getting in the way. They’re grown enough to manage without me. I want to enjoy my freedom without fear with you."
