His week in the Kingdom had been annoyingly frustrating, and he’d barely slept half of each night that passed after seeing Alpha Nora Rosa and then speaking with her. She knew about him going to the Alpha Council to try and force her hand into putting Nora before him. That irked him greatly. It could only mean that Alpha Gretta had relayed it to her.
And for her to call him a liar, claimed he was untrustworthy and deceitful to his face, then it angered him when she cursed him and threatened him with the city guards. She didn’t actually know him, or how he ran his pack, his allies liked him. He gave assistance when and where he was asked to, and his pack members were not only safe and happy but had all the freedoms they wanted.
