I woke up the next morning with my phone already buzzing on the nightstand. It was Ethan calling again, like he could not wait to jump back into the drama.
I let it ring a few times before I finally picked up. My voice sounded rough from all the crying I had done the night before.
“Ethan, you better not start with your playful stunts. I'm not in a good mood. I can devour you at this moment. I swear I will block your number if you do.”
