Elena POV
I woke up the next morning to silence. Sunlight leaked through the curtains, but the power was still out and my mother’s car still wasn’t in the driveway. She had texted late last night. Another delay.
Two more days at least.
I tried to stay in my room. I showered in cold water, dressed in the first clothes I grabbed, and told myself I would keep my distance. Pretend last night never happened. Pretend I hadn’t stood between his knees and watched him c*m all over himself while staring at me.
It lasted until I went downstairs to put a load of towels in the laundry.
