Since Evan came into our lives, Laura and I haven’t really had a full day alone together. So when her father offered to watch Evan for some grandpa time, I jumped at the opportunity.
My mother visits Evan but doesn’t actually watch him. My dad has taken care of him for a few hours, but that’s about it. No one has ever volunteered to take the baby for a full day like Peter has.
I know it’s mainly because he doesn’t get to see the baby often, but I’m grateful because I really need some time with my wife.
I also know that my mother has been stressing Laura out for the past week. We’re here for two weeks, and nobody wants to come out and say it, but we’re considering moving here. However, that won’t happen for a few years.
