Eren followed Lissana. The door closed behind them with a soft, almost final sound. The room was immersed in a warm dimness. The light of the living crystals filtered through the walls, slowly, breathing with a calm rhythm. The air smelled of night flowers and something else... of home, of refuge. Eren didn’t give her time to say anything. As soon as they crossed the threshold, he placed a firm hand on the door, blocking her path, and with the other, he wrapped Lissana’s waist, gently pressing her against the wood. It wasn’t abrupt. It was determined. The fairy wine still burned in his blood, making him bolder, more sincere, less careful with what he usually contained. Lissana held her breath.
