It was strange. It was different. It was Cady’s favorite berry lip gloss and the faint taste of Cabernet.
Then Cady’s hand came up, her fingers gently cupping Helena’s jaw, holding her there. The kiss deepened, no longer unsure.
Cady’s lips moved with more purpose, parting just enough for Helena to feel the warmth of her breath.
A soft, surprised sound escaped Helena’s throat, and she found herself kissing back, her own hand coming up to rest on Cady’s arm, feeling the delicate bone and smooth skin beneath her fingers.
