Jaron returned to camp after his scouting patrol of the western forest. They had organized watches on the castle, but the men were restless, eager for action. It was important he found a means to relieve their tension and keep their presence hidden. They couldn’t afford to reveal themselves and, despite the threat of thieves, the roads were well traveled. Thieves would be a threat as long as they remained. Securing the roads and ensuring public safety would be his foremost concern as soon as he disposed of his uncle.
