"I'm sorry, Woman. I failed to protect your ass," Doom whispered in my ear as I held onto him.
I shook my head, still scared.
"You protected me."
I hiccupped as I cried, needing Doom's arms around me.
"Get your ass some shoes on, Woman. I'm taking you to your brother's for a few hours."
