Bailee’s POV I glance out of the window as I stand in front of the sink, washing up some trays that wouldn’t fit into the dishwasher. The darkening sky makes me smile, as I think of all the excited wolves that are holed up in their rooms, nervous she wolves getting ready, about to head off to the woods in the hope of finding their one true love. I know better than anyone that even a fated Mate doesn’t mean happily ever after, but I still remember the anticipation, the hope deep inside that you were going to walk out of the forest with someone who would worship you as only a soulmate can.
