Rocking back and forth gently in the rocking chair that is by the window of the nursery that is attached to their bedroom, Jamie-Lee looks down at the peaceful faces of not one but two tiny pups.
‘Your brother sure did well hiding you’ she murmurs, pressing a kiss to the top of the baby girl’s head, who screws up her nose in her sleep before settling back down again.
‘I still can’t believe Skylar didn’t warn me that there were two of you’ she continues, shaking her head at her wolf who huffs in her mind.
‘I said that our pups are fine on many occasions’ the wolf grumbles, swishing her tail in annoyance, ‘you were the one who didn’t listen.’
Jamie-Lee snorts out a laugh, ‘I thought you were talking about all the ones that are already here’ she retorts.
