Rafe and Jack had gone away for a quarterly meeting a few days before her exam period was over. She had three exams that crossed over 8 days, and that made it easier to study for her. She just sat in her room or in the pack library and studied, attended her exam as expected of her.
She’d felt them return during her exam and been mind-linked to, by both of them, to let her know that they were back. She’d smiled to herself, it had been like 5 seconds after they’d crossed the border. ‘Luci, honey. We’re home.’ Had come to her.
‘I’m in an exam.’ She’d stated right back to them, though it was nice of them to let her know they were back so quickly.
‘My apologies.’ Rafe had stated and cut that link right away.
