She was sitting reading that old law for herself, and she didn’t like it at all. Her mother was amping up over there yelling at Orien and starting to lose it with the man. It wasn’t his fault, but it seemed he was taking the brunt of her mothers anger. But his continual stating of her having to be made to be Mated off to Victor was enraging her mother.
