DAMON’S POV
I had one advantage over whoever was leading Vespera toward Facility Zero. I knew how she thought.
She would avoid main roads, stay away from populated towns, and choose a route with multiple escape options. She would also assume I would follow the coordinates sent to me, which meant she might change direction once she realized the message had exposed her destination.
Unfortunately, knowing her habits didn't make finding her any easier.
The coordinates led to an abandoned mining road in the northern mountains, a route missing from our territory maps for decades. The unknown sender's message remained on my screen.
