“I want to handle the funeral arrangements for him when they release his body. I know he doesn’t have anyone else, and his mom is going to be in jail for a long time. It’s the least I can do. I will speak to Cassy about it tomorrow.” I said, and Sam nodded.
“You are a good man, Jessie Golding. Now, go be with your family. We are nearly done here. Don’t worry about anything here, we will get a crew to clean up. Cassy needs you,” Sam says, and I smile. Sam really is damn good at his job and an even better friend.
“Thank you, Sam, I really appreciate you.” I said. “You can appreciate me with a raise. I have a woman now that I have to wine and dine.” He says, chuckling, and I have to chuckle too.
