Lila met Marcus in a dark alley behind an old warehouse. She wore a long coat even though it was evening. Marcus stood with his hands in his pockets, looking nervous.
“You wanted to see me?” Marcus asked.
Lila smiled, but it was cold. “Yes. Our little plan needs to move faster. I have a new idea. Alex will forcefully sleep with Elena, get her pregnant. Then Damien will hate her forever. She will be ruined.”
Marcus stepped back. His face went pale. “What? No. That’s too far. I won’t do that. Hurting Elena like that? Forcing her? I’m done.”
Lila’s eyes narrowed. “You are weak. I thought you wanted revenge too. She rejected you. She chose Damien.”
“I did want revenge,” Marcus said. “But not like this. This is sick. I won’t help with r**e or forcing a baby. I’m out.”
