The battle kicked off and Alerion's sword went straight through some remnant's chest, blood spraying everywhere, but then another one came out of nowhere with a wolfsbane dagger and sliced his arm.
Black veins started spreading from the cut immediately, crawling up his arm like evil spider webs.
"ALERION!" I screamed, already moving toward him without thinking.
Wolfsbane. That's wolfsbane. He's gonna collapse. He's gonna die.
But before I could get there, Zane came flying in like he'd been launched from a catapult, shoving Alerion behind him and absolutely demolishing the remnant's face with his fist.
