Broken-hearted and alone, it took me seven days to travel to the far end of my father’s vampire kingdom, to the ancient Moonhaven temple. The Oracle would understand my grief and take me to my mother. I knew I could present myself to my father and have him do the blood test to confirm my identity, but I couldn’t see Sebastian like this, as a child.
