We left the party early as Saint left it to his employees to round off. Throughout the ride back home, Saint stared at me quietly. He had a gift bag in his hand and refused to tell me what was in it, which in turn made me stay quiet as well, sulking.
However, as soon as we got home and the door closed behind us, Saint spoke. “Wait.”
I paused in my steps but didn’t turn around. It happened that he didn’t need me to turn around. He stayed behind me and I heard him open the bag. I was curious to know what was inside but I didn’t want to show him that.
