Ravena's POV Astrid rolled her eyes, but her lips stayed sealed. She looked away like his words meant nothing, like she was above answering to anyone. But I noticed the slight quiver in her jaw and the way her fingers clenched into fists against the dirt. Evander straightened slowly, his gaze cutting away from her like she was no longer worth his time. Then, he turned to me and gave a single nod. That was all I needed. I quickly moved and crossed the distance between us in a few strides. When I reached his side, I stood tall, with my shoulders squared, and my chin raised.
