Nadia  The days stretched on. I began to recover my strength and spend more time in the rest of Vincent’s villa, instead of just sleeping and studying. He wasn’t completely alone here – there was a staff of servants to meet our every need, as well as guards. There was a chef, a laundry service, countless cleaners, and even a secretary.  It was the most comfortable, safe existence I’d ever known.  It took a lot of getting used to. The first time I shyly stopped a servant to ask where the cleaning supplies were, the woman frowned at me.  “Is there a problem in your rooms?”  I blinked. “Oh – I just spilled a mug of tea onto my rug.
