Nadia  I woke up to the quick, professional knock of a campus courier slipping a note underneath my door. Rolling blearily out of bed, I stumbled across the dorm room to pick up the message. Unsurprisingly, I suppose, it was from Vincent – we did have a date for attempting my wolf-awakening tonight.  Wait. No. Not a date. I grumbled at the feeling of my cheeks heating up as I opened the note the courier had delivered to met from Vincent.  All that it said was Meet me on Field #12 two hours after sunset. No explanation, no other details. How meeting at a combat training field at night was supposed to help my awaken my inner wolf – something I still doubted I even had, despite what Vincent claimed – I couldn’t say.  After the day I’d had, I almost considered just going back to bed.
